Installation

MacOS

OBS | NDI Tools | Plugins

  • Open OBS-NDI Installers (OSX).dmg
    Install packages in order.

  • Open the OBS Plugins folder
    Install included packages.

FTLASL OBS ASSETS

  • Open the FTLASL-OBS-Assets (OSX).dmg

  • Open the Application Support alias (finder window will open to location).
    Double click the Application Support folder and drag and drop the FTLASL folder from the dmg into the folder (you will be asked to Authenticate)


Windows

OBS | NDI Tools | Plugins

  • Extract OBS-NDI Installers (WIN).zip
    Install packages in order

  • Open OBS Plugins folder
    Install included packages

FTLASL OBS ASSETS

  • Extract the FTLASL-OBS-Assets (Win).zip

    • Copy the FTLASL folder to C:\Insight\


Configuration

Video output

Open OBS Studio

Settings > Video
Canvas: 1920x1080
Scaled: 1280x720

Scenes

  • Open OBS Studio
    From menu bar, select Scene Collection > Import > Add > Zoom.json > Import
    (these files will be where you downloaded the installers)
    From menu bar, select Scene Collection > Zoom to change to imported scene

  • Check each scene to be sure everything is showing in the preview correctly:


KHYT - Year Text splash screen

Time - Current time

KHYT + Countdown - Year text + countdown time (using MyStreamTimer)

KHYT + Time - Year text + current time

JWLSL - Video capture (double click source to configure)

HDMI In - Video capture (double click source to configure)

Ext. Pictures - Google Slides presentation (right click source to interact with browser)

Ext. Videos - Media player for external videos (prerecorded talks, etc)

Before - Prelude videos with countdown

After - KHYT + Countdown (2 min before Breakouts, 30 mins after)

Camera - Builtin webcam (double click source to configure)


NDI Setup

  • Open OBS Studio
    From menu bar, select Tools > NDI Output Settings
    Check (select) Main Output
    Define name if needed. Default “OBS” suffices.

  • Open NDI Virtual Interface application
    From menu bar (Windows: system tray), right-click NDI logo > select OBS

  • Open Zoom
    Go to Settings > Video > Camera > select NDI Video


**Video displaying in OBS Program should appear in the Zoom video preview**
